According to Brazilian local media, on Tuesday, a woman in Rio de Janeiro took the body of an old man to the bank and tried to get a loan of 17,000 Brazilian Reals, or approximately $3,400.
Bank employees recorded the incident and called the police. The woman was reportedly detained and the strange video quickly went viral on social media.
In the footage, the woman named Érika de Souza Vieira Nunes stands next to a pale, elderly man sitting on a chair. She apparently lifts the man’s head up, speaks to him, and asks him to sign the loan papers.
Nunes allegedly introduced himself as the old man’s nephew. “Uncle, are you listening? You have to sign the loan agreement. If you don’t, there’s no way, because I can’t sign it for you,” Nunes says in the video.
When a bank employee said, “He’s not well, his color…” Nunes said, “He is like that. He doesn’t say anything . Uncle, do you want to go to the hospital again?” says..
